The topic for this assignment would be a general orientation to the various tools of the internet.
I would like to do a seminar to familiarize teachers with simple educational sites that can be useful to them and their students, just as blogger.
I would like to teach ways on how to create a site for students to socially interact and communicate about various topics in the classroom.

Blogger is a great tool for teachers and students both. I agree with using blogs in education.
This a great project idea because if teachers have clear information they will be more likely to atleast try to use these new tools. Right now teachers probably feel overwhelmed with where to start when they are pressured to use more technology in the classroom.
I think this is a great idea for a seminar topic. I think your colleagues, students, and parents will feel motivated to use these tools when they are being taught by a familiar person like you. If you can do it, so can they. You will demystify WEB 2.0 for them.
This a great idea! I did a presentation for my staff last year that introduced several web / technology tools after going to Mathew Needleman's (Opencourtresources.com) 2 day training at LACOE. I presented it using a powerpoint with links embedded so everyone could see the actual tools as they would be used. Good starting point for a staff with lots of Digital Immigrants.
Good direction overall. As you learn more your ideas will evolve.
